Subic: Inflatable Island

It was such a playful weekend. Jumpin', swimming, and dancing in the water.

Inflatable Island in Subic claims to be the biggest floating water park in Asia with 3,400 sqm, as big as 8 basketball courts put together. Whoooaa!

Its like a big playground floating in the water. There are lots of obstacle course, swings, trampolines, monkey bars, slides of different sizes, ladders, and many many more.

Colorful umbrellas and comfy bean bags are placed all over the Bali lounge area.

At the end of the day I just realized that I had like a total body workout. Tiring but  this is really an enjoyable place, which reminds me of my childhood days.

How to get there:

From Manila:, Ride a bus heading to Iba, Zambales and then ask the driver to drop you off at the address of Inflatable Island

Operation Hours: 8AM -6PM
Rates:

Tips:

>The activity can be quite tiring especially under the sun. Don't forget to apply sunblock to protect yourself from the harsh direct sun and salty water.
>Kids 3 ft. and above can come and play in the inflatables, however they require 1:1 adult to accompany the kid and ensure their safety.
>Make sure that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time to make room for sign-in process, safety instructions and life vest fitting.
>You may bring food inside however they have a corkage fee Php 500 for 1-7 pax. There are food stalls at the Bali Lounge with meals stating at Php 150.
>All ticket passes are inclusive of Access to Bali Lounge Area and Beach Area.

Zambales: Anawangin

If you're looking for a place to escape from the city, Anawangin is one of the humble option. The first time we went to Zambales, we stayed longer in Capones Island so now we planned to spend the day here. Anawangin makes a stunning contrast to the mountain ridges encompassing it. We went picnic, swim and even climbed the rocks. This was a good bonding place for everyone.

Early morning, having fun in Pundaquit.

How we get there:
  • Took a bus to Iba or Santa Cruz, Zambales from Caloocan terminals of Victory Liner. Fare costs around ₱265 and travel time is 3.5 to 4 hours.
  • We got off at San Antonio public market and transfer to a trike to Pundaquit. The fare was ₱30/pax.
  • To Anawangin.., In Pundaquit, there were boats available for rent, we just asked from the locals where can we find a boat that will bring us to Anawangin. We opted to join other travelers and shared the boat with them.

Zambales: White beach of Capones Island

This is such an unplanned trip. Packed our bags and hop in the bus bound to Zambales. We stayed on a friend's house in San Antonio and decided to go to Capones Island.

Coming from Pundaquit beach, we started our adventure to Capones.

At Pundaquit beach while waiting for the boat that will bring us to Capones Island.

Arriving in Capones Island.

The island is still undeveloped, it is bare and this is what we liked about it. The sun is at its peak and we made something for shelter. Yeah I know, such resourcefulness. :)

The high rocky cliff forms a protective wall that embraces the beach.

Such a paradise...

We left Capones before sunset and stayed overnight in Pundaquit beach. Can you imagine we were able to sleep in this sands? Such an experience.

Subic Tree To Adventure

Held on the bars so tight and waited for the release, shouted my heart so loud behind the forest trees. Yeah tree top's ride, superman style!

Being an adrenalin junkie, Im always up for adventures. I'm not gonna pass the chance to try Subic's tree top adventure.Located at the densely forested part of the Subic Bay Freeport, Treetop Adventure offers a variety of rides to choose from. Among those rides, we chose 3, The Canopy Walk, Canopy ride and Superman Ride

Started with a little briefing, equipped with harnesses and hard hats, and then off we went!

The Canopy Walk

We walked through the adventure trail suspended high among the trees in the forest. Stepped on suspension bridges that are connected through trees of varying heights.

The Canopy Ride

This provided us a perfect view and sounds of the forest. The entire forest was serene.

The Superman Ride

The name speaks to itself, you'll be flying like a superman! Lying down, the ride pulled us back and forth to two platforms.
