Davao Oriental: Blue Bless Beach Resort (Mati)

Another day has come and we are going to Mati, Davao Oriental, known for its white sand beaches and huge waves. After a 5 long hours drive from Davao del Sur, we arrived in Blue Bless Beach Resort. Though it would be nice if there is a beach where we can walk on sand, play with or even make some sand castles in, the resort has their floating cottages on a cliff and the view of the blue waters was really inviting.

You may rent the floating cottages here or rent a room if you want to stay overnight. The sea may get deep in the middle of the day and it would be sad for those who wants to enjoy swimming but don't know how to swim. No worries as they have water floaters you can borrow. They also have other amenities like billiards, swimming pool, videoke, convenience store and even a resto bar. Also, if you like to go island hopping, the resort has a boat that can take you to Wanibad Island, a secluded island where you can relax and enjoy the beach.

How to get there:
You may choose to come here with a private car like we did. But if you are commuting, from Davao City, you may take a bus ( Php 200-220 ) from Davao Oriental Terminal in Ecoland to Mati City or van ( Php 230-250 ) with terminals at Gaisano Mall, Abreeza, NCCC, and SM Ecoland. It will take around 3 to 4 hour ride. When you get in Mati, you will need to ride a habal-habal (motorcycle for hire) or multicab to reach the resort.
