A 4-hectare marine reserve in Barangay Adecor, Kaputian District of Samal Island comes the Giant Clam Sanctuary. Giant Clams, also known as "taclobo" in the local dialect. They are like giant flowers underneath this shallow waters. Some of the clams are reportedly more than 10 yrs old and can reach 500 kilograms. They are solar animals that needs sun to survive.
We came here as part of our whole day tour in Samal island. We also went snorkeling to see these giant clams up close.
There are also lots of fishes here, and we all enjoyed the experience.
