Bohol Bee Farm

One place you should include when you go on Panglao Tour is the Bohol Bee farm. This place is good for relaxing and eat organic foods.

They have accommodations available in the place and a small swimming pool where you can enjoy.

How to get there:

Bohol bee farm is quite far from Alona Beach and the best option is to rent a habal-habal (motorcycle for hire) for Php 50-Php 100.

Bohol Bee Farm offers a guided tour around the area for Php 30. This will be for 30 minutes from 7:00 AM to 4:30 AM. It will start with organic garden where there are vegetables, flowers and medicinal plants. Some of these plants are for sale and they are use as ingredients in their restaurant.

Next is the livelihood area where you can see how they are doing the ice cream, breads and jams that they also sell in the shop. You may also taste the jams and honey they are making in the shop.

We were also escorted in the handicraft area where you can see how they weave and make handicrafts like bags, fans, wallets, etc. These are also being sold in the shop.

And the most awaited part, the meet and greet with the bees. Honestly this is not what I expected to see. There was just 1 box where the bees are that serves as an artificial beehive. The guide shared some facts about the bees and how they produce honey. We also had the chance to get a close look at them.

One thing you cant miss when you visit Bohol Bee Farm is to try their ice cream. I was able to try some of the flavors and they were all good. I also love the cone they use which is made of casava or cab-cab.
